COLOMBIA ENDED ANTI-DUMPING DUTIES ON CHINA TYRES

Colombia’s anti-dumping measures on Chinese tyre products, imposed in 2013, officially ended on June 13 this year.

On June 8, Colombian investigators announced that they would not launch a five-year review of tire products originating in China.

This means that in the future, Chinese tires will be able to enjoy normal tariffs for their exports to Colombia.

On June 12, 2013, the ministry of trade and industry of Colombia decided to anti-dumping on radial and conventional tires of buses or freight vehicles originated from China.

According to the final ruling, the Colombian side does not impose an anti-dumping duty on conventional tyres with tariff number 4011.20.90.00, but on radial tyres with tariff number 4011.20.10.00.

Tax collection method: the base price is set at $5.37 per kilogram. When the FOB price is lower than the base price, the tax is the difference between the two.
